… Even though I couldn't speak the language they invited me into their homes, shared their food, took me on boat rides and made me feel worthy. I remember looking over the village and thinking they may live in poverty but they are rich in spirit, community and connectedness. They have what our culture is searching for. Can we bring that same connectedness into our culture, I believe we can and I am willing to give it my best shot.
